Why go so far as to rune a superfans channel and make him want to step away from a franchise that he has supported fot 6 or 7 years. To be honest, the official coverage of the game spoiled it for me much more. YouTube is full of BL3 impression videos and some contain cutscenes from sanctuary 3, footage of additional bossess etc. Also way back in December , I think? Supmatto for the first time talked about leaving Pandora and visiting Eden-6 and Promethea, this was in no way a spoiler for me but rather a reasurence that Gearbox stayed loyal to the lore and their fans.
Remember that these 2 planets have been in the lore and been mentioned since Borderlands 1! And it seems they do the same with Borderlands 3, there is a echo in Borderlands 3 that talks about Tyreen conquering Pandora from Parched Fathoms till some race track. Its little throwbacks like this that get me hyped for Borderlands 3.
And at least, all this was a good sign, back when many people feared Borderlands 3 is going to be a battle royal or whatever…. Of course they do. But - when somebody DARES to share some information prior to that, ruining the script…they get nuked. I love how everyone automatically defends SM and hates on 2K without knowing ANY of the facts, only what was reported and everyone knows a lot was unreported. Before you say I am a fanboi of 2K you should read most of my posts regarding BL3 and how much I feel both 2K and Gearbox are absolute trash when it comes to caring about me as a consumer and how I have come to dislike Randy as much as 2K.
The simple fact is, no one knows what information was found out. You all can hate and get mad all you want and say David and Goliath, but you have it backwards. I do know this though, if I was making something I was proud of and I felt like it had turned out to be an amazing thing, I would be upset that someone came along and took away my thunder by releasing certain information before I wanted it released. Hate on the corporations all you want, but by blaming them before knowing the facts?
